Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Trillium Staffing. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of process design packages, performing mass and energy balance calculations, and coordinating design with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of process design packages, including P&IDs and engineering documents.
  • Perform mass and energy balance calculations to ensure efficient and safe process operations.
  • Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural.
  • Lead design review presentations with clients and incorporate feedback into the design package.
  • Respond to contractor RFIs and provide technical support to startup and commissioning of process systems.

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in engineering with a major in Mechanical, Chemical, or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of engineering experience, preferably with 7-8 years of experience leading design work.
  • Demonstrable prior work experience leading design work and extensive knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes, including California building code, OSHA, FDA, and EDA.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory code requirements.
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards, including ASME, ASHRAE, ISO, ISA, AIA, ISPE, and USDA.
  • Familiarity with drawing standards and construction specifications.
  • Basic level of competency with AutoCAD and high level of competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project software.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and ability to represent the company in a professional and positive way.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in engineering-related capacity in pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage, consumer goods manufacturing, or other industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with an engineering design firm or engineering consulting firm.
  • PE license is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with process systems, CIP systems, steam systems, hydronic systems, compressed gas systems, ductwork, and facility systems.
  • Ability to demonstrate high quality of document and drawing preparation.

Software Familiarity:

Pipeflo, Caeser II, EnergyPro, Carrier HAP, or other similar software.
