We are seeking a part-time Fresh Foods Sales Associate to join our team at Stauffers of Kissel Hill. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Bags groceries and assists customers with their purchases.
  • Collects cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash transactions.
  • Counts money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Follows procedures for all processes on register systems.
  • Gathers and stocks grocery carts in the prescribed manner.
  • Is knowledgeable regarding Fresh Foods and Home & Garden pricing procedures.
  • Promotes special store events and follows company procedures.
  • Records daily transaction amounts from the cash register to balance the cash drawer.
  • Records prices and departments, subtotals taxable items, and totals purchases on the cash register.
  • Reviews sales fliers weekly to be aware of advertised specials.
  • May perform Online Shopper duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as adding and subtracting using multiple digit numbers and units of weight and/or American currency.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
