As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and optimizing specialty medication therapies to improve patient outcomes, safety, and cost utilization. Key Responsibilities: * Provide top-notch customer service to patients and families, adhering to AIDET principles * Review and monitor patient treatment medications for appropriateness, ensuring compliance with current clinical and institutional guidelines * Provide final professional review and verification of prescription filling and offsite facility orders, ensuring timeliness and accuracy * Offer accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to patients, medical staff, and nursing staff * Supervise and direct Interns and Technicians, providing active direct supervision and mentoring * Maintain inventory and responsible for order management, ensuring product availability and adherence to sound accounting principles * Act as a liaison to other departments within the healthcare system, including Hospice, Social Service, SDS, Meds to Beds, Specialty Pharmacy, and provider offices * Maintain professional competency, completing departmental competency/skills assessment requirements and staying current with pharmacy practice * Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, Centers for Medicare/Medicaid services, Food and Drug Administration, and The Joint Commission Requirements: * Graduate from a NABP-accredited pharmacy college * Current US pharmacist license in the state where work is being performed * Problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Multitasking ability * Good customer service and communication skills * Familiarity with Current Practice Standards (ASHP) About St. Elizabeth Healthcare: At St. Elizabeth Healthcare, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care to our community.
