Job Summary:

The 3rd Shift Production Supervisor is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Directly manage and lead a team of production employees to achieve departmental metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and sustainability.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, complete annual performance evaluations, lead new hire onboarding training initiatives, and monitor and manage employee schedules and attendance.
  • Corrective Action: Lead and/or support corrective action processes, including leading safety initiatives, emergency response, and other safety activities as required.
  • Communication: Collaborate with peers and other departments to improve safety, quality, and productivity, and communicate with the production control, customer service, and management team regarding high-priority tasks and shift performance.
  • Resource Management: Ensure employees have the resources needed to perform their jobs successfully.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of High School Education
  • Experience: Prior leadership or supervisory experience required; BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or related degree preferred
  • Skills: Strong leadership characteristics, including self-motivation, initiative, and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations; demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment; planning and organization skills; strong leadership and communication skills; strong computer skills; proficient with MS Office Suites
