Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team at Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each resident.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition, collaborating with the healthcare team to adjust care plans as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of South Dakota.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Geriatric, medical, or surgical experience preferred.
