About the RoleAs a Private Duty Nurse - LVN/LPN with Aveanna Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to work with patients who require continuous care and support in their homes. You will be responsible for implementing physicians' prescribed plans of care, conducting patient assessments, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
- Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
- Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
- Provide health education and training to family members
- Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
- Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems and concerns
- Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
