Job Description

The Supply Specialist II plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by performing tasks related to receiving, distribution, and inventory management. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to ensure efficient operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Receiving & Shift Supervisors/Managers, Inventory Control Analysts, and Customer Service Specialists to prioritize services and report issues.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment in managing responsibilities, including filling in for other Supply Specialists and acting as an emergency contact for the Shift Manager.
  • Work closely with staff to develop solutions to issues and participate in continuous process improvement projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to Supply Specialists and contribute to the development of specialized expertise in materials distribution and logistics processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; several years of experience in hospital materials distribution, logistics, or inventory management are essential.
  • Critical thinking and adaptability are key qualities for this role, along with strong product knowledge and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prioritization, organizational skills, and initiative to improve processes are also crucial for success in this function.
