Accounting & Internal Controls Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Internal Controls Manager to join our team at SourcePro Search, LLC. This is a remote role that offers a tremendous opportunity to work with a top-ranked global firm client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, manipulate, and manage data to deliver meaningful insights necessary to help companies address regulatory and business challenges.
  • Develop data analysis plans, algorithm strategies, and design/implement solutions to address challenging business issues.
  • Lead and develop teams, leveraging Accounting Information Science to turn data into trusted business information.
  • Query and analyze small and large data sets to discover patterns and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Create, manage, and utilize structured and unstructured data stores.
  • Perform current state assessment of client accounting, data, and algorithm capabilities.
  • Leverage tools to enable actionable decision making.
  • Develop system requirements, design and prototype, test, train, define support procedures, and implement with a focus on SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, and Workday.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or master's degree in a relevant field with relevant business, technology, data, and/or analytical focused coursework.
  • 6+ years of technical or advisory-related experience in controllership, accounting, financial planning and analysis, and cost accounting.
  • Strong communication, team building, teaming, and presentation experience.
  • Prior experience working with and managing data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, transformation, and application of algorithms.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams, building finance and accounting models, and using purpose-built solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Technology, or Math/Engineering.
  • Experience with packaged technologies (e.g., S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, Workday, BlackLine, Workiva).
  • Project experience in areas such as process mapping, root cause/gap analysis/best fit, requirements gathering/definition development, financial modeling, and value mapping.
  • Experience in developing product costing standards and product cost analytics.
  • Experience with a variety of data transformation and algorithmic tools and programming languages.
