Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Wabash National Corporation. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in the manufacture of carbon/stainless steel and aluminum products and subassemblies. Your expertise in welding will be essential in ensuring high-quality work while upholding production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to welding, including MIG and/or TIG welding, to meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering prints, weld symbols, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient welding.
  • Conduct basic operator preventative maintenance for welding-related equipment.
  • Work at heights of 15-20 ft. and maneuver in tight and small spaces.
  • Perform additional work assigned by the supervisor or team leader, which may require assisting in different departments.
  • Wear approved personal protective equipment, such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, and hearing protection.
  • Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices, including individual safety and the safety of co-workers.
Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must pass Weld Tests associated with product line, prior to welding in production.
  • Must pass respirator fit test.
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to follow and understand engineering prints, specifications, and instructions.

Physical Demands

As an employee in this position, you are regularly required to stand, walk, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All personnel must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. In this position, some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
