About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Kettering Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive clinical medical physics support, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical physics support for Radiation Oncology procedures, ensuring optimal performance and safety of all equipment.
  • Oversee the acquisition, installation, calibration, and acceptance of radiation treatment equipment, maintaining meticulous records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality measures and standards as set by the State of Ohio, documenting all quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills within the field, pursuing ongoing professional development and adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for patient safety and high-quality care, actively participating in performance improvement initiatives and utilizing organizational resources effectively.
Requirements
  • PhD, DMP, or MS in medical physics or a related field.
  • Board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics is preferred, but we encourage board-eligible candidates to apply and continue to pursue certification.
  • A minimum of two years of recent clinical medical physics experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred.
