Nursing Facility Supervisor

Requirements:
- A valid NY RN license in good standing
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and implement policies and procedures
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a healthcare facility, preferably in a hospital or nursing facility setting
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision experience
- Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care facilities
- Perform administrative duties, including completing reports, evaluations, charting, IV therapy, discharge planning, and accident/incident reports as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians, residents/patients, and families in planning resident/patient care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary
- Monitor nursing care to ensure that all residents are treated fairly and with kindness, dignity, and respect
- Set priorities in meeting the needs of residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Ensure that established policies and procedures, including dress codes and ID badges, are followed by all department personnel
- Assist in providing education on units as assigned
- Collaborate with support departments to ensure a positive new admission or transfer experience, such as room readiness, medical information transfer, and resident/personal belongings
- Make rounds of patients/residents to ensure their needs are adequately met, monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
