About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Pediatric Amb Care Nursing team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our young patients.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Deliver nursing care in structured situations with routine complexity, focusing on activities of daily living, treatment administration, and preparation for surgeries, tests, and examinations.">
  • Administer medications within your scope of practice, collect and label specimens accurately, and identify intravenous equipment for infusion through peripheral access devices.">
  • Assist patients and families/significant others with rehabilitation plans and provide emotional support during their stay.">
  • Collaborate with registered nurses to develop nursing care plans, reinforce patient education, and contribute to patient care conferences.">
  • Document nursing care delivered and participate in emergency resuscitative procedures as needed.">

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • A completed educational program for licensure as a LPN.">
  • Successful completion of the New York State Department of Health LPN IV Therapy Initial Program and annual unit-based review/update program in intravenous therapy procedures.">
  • A minimum of [estimated 1-2 years] experience in a healthcare setting, preferably pediatric nursing.">
  • A current Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).">
  • A commitment to excellence in patient care and continuous learning.">
