Position Overview

The Make Ready position plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance operations of the property, which includes corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks.

This role is essential in executing the make-ready process in alignment with the property's operational goals, under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning, trash removal, and general upkeep of grounds and residential areas, including make-ready units and communal spaces.
  • Respond promptly to resident and management requests, as well as work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units.
  • Ensure all necessary repairs and replacements are conducted for community common areas and units.
  • Maintain daily cleanliness of the community's exterior, including grounds, breezeways, and all shared areas.
  • Conduct swimming pool maintenance and cleaning, keeping accurate chemical logs.
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to identify and address hazardous conditions or liability concerns.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the community while minimizing future repairs.
  • Adhere to Asset Living's key policies and maintain a well-organized and adequately stocked maintenance shop, following safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in promoting safe work practices and maintaining the hazard communications program.
  • Participate in unit inspections as requested and report any violations of community rules to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
  • Utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Customer & Resident Relations

Deliver exceptional customer service and monitor service request turnaround times to ensure responsiveness.

Project a positive image of the community to achieve property objectives and enhance public recognition.

Maintain consistency in interactions with residents on all matters and enforce community policies as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
