CTI, Inc. is a well-established transportation firm with extensive experience in the mining and construction sectors. We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician to become a vital part of our maintenance crew. In this role, you will be essential in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a variety of diesel and non-diesel engines.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • At least 1 year of experience with diesel or heavy machinery
  • Possession of necessary tools and toolbox
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • Experience with tire and service maintenance
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workplace
  • Support various activities within the maintenance department
  • Diagnose and repair components of tractors, trailers, and other company machinery
  • Conduct inspections for safety and maintenance concerns
  • Enter data into maintenance management software
  • Perform lubrication and tire technician duties as required
  • Assist with service calls as necessary
  • Operate maintenance vehicles and other company machinery
  • Communicate effectively with team members

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, gripping, speaking, hearing, climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and more
  • Frequent climbing of stairs and/or ladders

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regular exposure to loud noises
  • Potential risks of electrical shock and chemical exposure
  • Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions and pressurized equipment
