Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at UW Health. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol hospital grounds, providing assistance and direction to visitors, and responding to emergencies and disturbances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interact with law enforcement, patients, visitors, and staff to address security and safety concerns, and provide support as needed.
  • Document daily activities and write detailed incident reports using computer software programs.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or progress towards a degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience or equivalent education required; experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six months of hire required.
