Key Responsibilities- Interprets testing schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to establish the appropriate testing methods and equipment.
- Evaluates the functional performance of components under specific environmental conditions, including temperature variations, vibrations, pressure changes, and humidity levels.
- Ensures test instruments are calibrated in accordance with established specifications.
- Connects units to testing apparatus.
- Monitors dials and digital displays to assess electronic characteristics such as temperature, voltage, current, frequency, resistance, insulation resistance, and capacitance.
- Compares outcomes with specifications and documents test data or visualizes results through graphs.
- Investigates test results on faulty units to ascertain the root cause of failures.
- Maintains either manual or computerized records of production and inspection data.
- Handles the loading and unloading of components from fixtures while completing the necessary documentation.
- Manages life-testing boards weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification (GED); or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Capable of calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpreting bar graphs.
Knowles is dedicated to offering a competitive and equitable total compensation package for all employees. The starting hourly wage for this position is projected to be between $16.04 and $17.04. Individual compensation is determined by various factors, including prior experience and skills, cost of living in the assigned location, work schedule, and salaries of similarly situated employees within the company. It is acknowledged that candidates may possess varying levels of experience and skills, which will be reflected in the compensation offered.
