Current Opportunity:

We are seeking skilled Emergency Veterinary Technicians/Assistants to join our dynamic emergency team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement prescribed treatment plans, performing technical procedures such as intravenous catheter placements, venipuncture, and drug administration.
  • Collaborate effectively with veterinary staff to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Utilize electronic medical records proficiently to document patient information and treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and work independently while maintaining high-quality care standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide nursing support for critically ill patients in collaboration with veterinarians.
  • Conduct triage assessments for incoming emergency cases.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and stability, performing necessary diagnostics and treatments.
  • Engage in regular patient assessments and maintain accurate monitoring logs.
  • Educate clients on patient care and discharge procedures.
  • Assist in anesthetic procedures, including monitoring and recovery.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts and support during critical situations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team while also being self-sufficient.
  • Experience with veterinary software systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
