Key Details:

  • Starting salary range: $65K-$72K (inclusive of base salary and overtime) with a 4-Day work schedule.

Role Purpose:

As a critical component of the food supply chain, our delivery drivers ensure that products reach customers safely and on time. They represent our company and build lasting relationships with clients.

Primary Duties:

The Class A Driver is tasked with operating a tractor-trailer on local routes, both intrastate and interstate, to deliver and unload food and related products safely and punctually, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting all necessary safety inspections (pre/post trip) of the tractor and trailer as per DOT regulations.
  • Reporting any safety concerns or required repairs.
  • Adhering to all DOT regulations and company driving policies, reporting hazards immediately.
  • Performing inventory checks and verifying customer invoices for loaded products.
  • Completing all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Moving the tractor to the loading dock and attaching preloaded trailers as necessary.
  • Loading customer returns onto the trailer and securing trailer doors.
  • Ensuring the security of the tractor, trailer, and freight at all times.
  • Unloading damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary documentation.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the tractor and loading dock area.
  • Securing all equipment and completing paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
  • Successful completion of post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Passing a road test.
  • Possession of a valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Able to lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights throughout the shift.
