We are collaborating with a reputable multi-location agricultural equipment firm seeking a dedicated individual to assume the role of Agricultural Service Operations Manager. In this position, you will oversee the submission of warranty claims to the equipment manufacturer and manage the technicians' work schedules, including time-off approvals. Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Ideal candidates will possess at least 3 years of management experience or a combination of 5 years in agricultural diesel repair and service management. Key Responsibilities of the Agricultural Service Operations Manager:
- Formulate contracts for contractors with ongoing equipment rental or purchasing requirements.
- Educate service personnel on best practices for customer satisfaction and brand advocacy.
- Establish, maintain, and follow a priority system for scheduling all service tasks, both for customers and internal needs.
- Manage work order systems, including logging invoices and generating service bills.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program claims according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Assign jobs and work areas to staff based on their skills and expertise.
- Guarantee that the Service Department is equipped with the necessary tools and that service equipment is well-maintained.
- Advise on the acquisition of service vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance and record-keeping.
- Coordinate dealership training initiatives and service-related customer workshops.
- Exhibit professionalism at all times, both within and outside the dealership.
- Track metrics monthly to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in alignment with dealership goals.
Qualifications for the Agricultural Service Operations Manager:
- High School diploma/GED required (Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 3+ years in a Service Manager role or experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a sense of urgency while managing people and pressure.
