Overview

Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC seeks a skilled Medical Director to oversee the delivery of healthcare services for youth. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering young individuals with individualized needs.

About the Role:

  • Provides direction and supervision to the medical department, ensuring compliance with customer and governmental guidelines.
  • Ensures effective medication management, documentation, and admission/release procedures are in place.
  • Collaborates with leadership on performance improvement activities and ensures adherence to YOI policy and agency requirements.
  • Maintains high standards of role model behavior and participates in training and development activities as required.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Administering resident medications prescribed by physicians and ensuring timely completion of all documentation and forms related to medication.
  • Assuring the nursing department completes all required admission and release procedures, including facility entry screening, health-related history, and physical assessments.
  • Completing and submitting statistical reporting as required.
  • Carrying out clerical and administrative assignments to support resident care and department operations.
  • Ensuring youth immunizations are completed and documented as required.
  • Preparing and presenting training programs to staff on topics such as medication administration, side effects, nuisance diseases, hepatitis A and B, universal precautions, AIDS, seizures, and other health-related issues.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold a license as a professional Registered Nurse with experience in clinical nursing, practice, education, management, or public health nursing.
  • Have three years' experience as a professional RN.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education.
  • Possess advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Be in good physical health and emotionally stable, with the ability to move about the property and participate in youth activities.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $88,000 per year, comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance eligible after 60 days of employment.
  • 401k with 100% match up to 4% of your salary after 60 days of employment.
