Minds Matter, LLC is a leading organization dedicated to empowering individuals with brain injuries to live independently at home. Our innovative approach provides services and resources that enable consumers to relearn, reinvent, and reconnect in their communities.

We are seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our Wichita region team. As a key member of our team, you will provide treatment for speech and/or language disorders, including problems with sound production and communication.

Assessment and treatment may involve areas such as language, cognition, motor speech skills, and conversational skills. You will also address issues related to swallowing, respiration, and voice.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform evaluations to determine best methods and strategies for therapies.
  • Complete documentation as necessary, including evaluations, progress notes, and letters of medical necessity.
  • Integrate employment, educational, and independent living goals into therapy.
  • Collaborate with consumers and other professional staff to determine goal progress.
  • Assist with adaptive equipment and augmentative alternative communication device selection and utilization.
  • Document sessions with consumers, focusing on goal-driven, concise, factual, and clear reporting.
  • Attend trainings and workshops to maintain up-to-date, effective, and evidence-based practice.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with consumers, coworkers, referral agents, and community agencies.
  • Promote public relations throughout the agency and community.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Speech Language Pathology Program from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is appreciated.
