About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Conservation Specialist to join our team at National Experienced Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist field office staff with contract-related items, including contract modifications, violations, and waivers.
  • Support Quality Assurance efforts by reviewing conservation program documents, preapproving and obligating program dollars, and ensuring selected practices meet Practice User Guide requirements.
  • Collaborate with NRCS staff to ensure accurate and efficient contract management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in agricultural operations, resources management, and Farm Bill Programs.
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge of resources management and contract administration.
  • Valid State Driver's license and experience working with NRCS Practice User Guide.
  • Experience mentoring and/or training conservation staff, as well as proficiency in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Apple, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Zoom.
  • NRCS Software proficiency, including Protracts and Conservation Desktop.
