The Senior Structural Engineering Specialist will undertake the design and analysis of diverse structures and foundations. A comprehensive understanding of structural and foundation engineering principles and methodologies is essential for this position.
Key responsibilities include leveraging professional experience to create effective designs and documentation, ensuring adherence to specifications and compliance with relevant codes and engineering standards. The role also involves researching cutting-edge technologies to identify the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a client-centric approach and possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a project team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform calculations and verify the accuracy of engineering computations.
- Draft and review specifications.
- Address and resolve various field-related challenges.
- Manage administrative and supervisory tasks for projects of varying scales.
- Prepare and assess construction engineering estimates.
- Generate construction quantity assessments.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, complemented by a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural design and foundation engineering is required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is advantageous.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
- Ability to conduct meetings with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Regular interaction with vendors, clients, and management at all levels is expected.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primarily office-based work, with potential travel and overtime required to initiate and complete projects.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES
- Candidates should prioritize client service through high-quality work and effective problem-solving. Flexibility in job assignments, travel, and work schedules is essential.
