**Job Summary:**
As a skilled Painter at Brown & Root, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray machines.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare surfaces to receive coatings by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease from surfaces to be covered
- Remove old paint and wall coverings, fill and smooth over cracks and holes
- Apply knowledge of materials used to make paint and required types of paints for different materials, such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal

**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in painting or related field
