Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Wauseon Machine / McAlister Design and Automation. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical and fluid power systems for our Automation Division.
Key Responsibilities- Design Electrical and Fluid Power Systems: Develop and implement electrical and fluid power systems for our industrial equipment, including robotic automation cells and machine tools.
- Participate in Team-Oriented Phase-Gate Process: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
- Maintain High Level of Communication: Provide regular updates and reporting to stakeholders, including weekly task list updates.
- Participate in Risk Assessment and Safety Planning: Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards associated with electrical and fluid power systems.
- Travel to Customer Sites: Visit customer sites for project kickoff and review meetings as required.
- Provide Technical Support and Training: Offer technical assistance and training to internal and external customers.
- Complete Assigned Project Work: Meet project deadlines, budget, and customer requirements.
- 5+ Years' Experience: Industrial automation industry experience, with a focus on electrical design and engineering.
- Education: Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ Years of NFPA79 Guided Electrical Design: Experience with NFPA79 guidelines for electrical design.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel up to 5% for project-related activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
