The System Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for managing system infrastructure including databases, testing computer equipment and other software and hardware at Information Technology Engineering Corporation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in traditional bare metal and VM environments as well as Cloud environments with a desire to gravitate more towards the latter.

Key Tasks
  • Manage system infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Monitor system performance.
  • Troubleshoot problems.
  • Respond to anomalies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system.
  • Scripting language skills.
  • IP network, switching, subnet and VLAN understanding.
  • Hardware understanding including Servers, Blade Chassis, Fiber Channels, SANS.
  • Ability to respond to support requests after hours.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing environment.
  • Knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with RH Directory Server or FOSS alternatives.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • IA certification (Security+ or CISSP).
