Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Cardiovascular Imaging Nurse, you will perform direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will utilize therapeutic communication in your daily practice, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and identify nursing issues based on the individual needs of each patient. The Registered Nurse will plan personalized patient care while employing an interdisciplinary approach, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and provide care that aligns with the hospital's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all nursing care
- Respond appropriately to emergencies
- Administer medications and IV conscious sedation under physician supervision
- Scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies
- Provide accurate and timely nursing documentation in MediTech and Camtronics
- Record, monitor, and demonstrate understanding of hemodynamic measurements and valve areas.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing school
- Current Licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Two years of critical nursing experience preferred
TriStar Summit is a 200-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties, including a Level III Trauma Center and a full array of acute care services, such as cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center.
