Job Summary

WBI Energy is seeking a skilled Vacuum Excavation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of vacuum excavation trucks, ensuring the successful completion of utility location and excavation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Vacuum Excavation Trucks: Safely operate vacuum excavation trucks to locate and excavate utilities, while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Lead Team Efforts: Lead a team of two employees in vacuum excavation work, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
  • Perform Daily Tasks: Perform daily tasks such as excavating potholes, daylighting utilities, and performing keyhole work, while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Ensure Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and serviced to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to Regulations: Ensure all safety, Federal Motor Carrier Regulations, and environmental requirements are adhered to, minimizing the risk of accidents and environmental damage.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of related experience in safe operation of vacuum excavation equipment, such as vacuum excavation trucks, trailers, and hydro excavation trucks.
  • Certifications: NACE CP 1 certification is preferred.
  • Travel: Requires extensive travel (100%).
  • Driver's License: Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Medical Card: Required to maintain a valid medical card.
  • Background Checks: Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
