Job Summary

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of assigned buildings or projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Ensure that all assigned construction is completed according to plans and specifications, on schedule, and with the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work meets the required standards and make necessary adjustments to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager, Director of Construction, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed of project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Documentation: Record and maintain accurate records of project progress, including hours worked, equipment usage, and material receipts.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project requirements and deadlines, and that they are providing the necessary documentation and reports.
  • Testing and Inspections: Schedule and coordinate testing and inspections with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that all work meets the required standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer/owner satisfaction is maintained by responding promptly to customer complaints and requests.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong background in construction operations, including project management, team leadership, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
