CCPD Community Engagement Coordinator

The CCPD Community Liaison is a part-time role focused on enhancing the number of organizations benefiting from the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) funding opportunities. This position aims to address key crime and safety concerns, specifically targeting groups and programs related to foster care, previously adjudicated individuals, and victim support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with community stakeholders to inform them about CCPD funding possibilities.
- Identify and document community resources related to crime and safety, including agencies and funding sources.
- Act as the Grants representative and Co-Chair for the Expert Panel of Partners with a Shared Mission, facilitating quarterly reviews of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Evaluate and provide guidance on community collaborations and their sustainability.
- Coordinate police communication initiatives for CCPD grants under the supervision of the Fort Worth Police Department.
- Conduct surveys among community stakeholders to assess crime and safety challenges and the community's ability to respond.
- Advise FWPD personnel on resource coordination to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with the Grant Navigator to ensure successful referrals.
Essential Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the United States (No Sponsorship).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Extensive experience in community outreach (5+ years), particularly with community-based organizations and marginalized populations.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to navigate diverse perspectives and interests.
- 5+ years of experience in grant writing and management, including RFP development, with a preference for candidates with experience working with potential grantees.
- Strong teamwork capabilities are essential.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines efficiently.
- High energy and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including experience with databases and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strategic thinking and sound judgment are crucial.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- A valid Texas driver's license, minimum state insurance, and reliable transportation for community meetings.
- Access to reliable internet for occasional remote work.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with the RFP/grant application process.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

- Fluency in English is required; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Work Environment:
- Availability to work during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
