Job Title:
Cyber Security Specialist

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure software solutions for advanced military applications. The focus is on hardening the gimbal from a security standpoint.

In the short term, the work will be focused on the edge computing product, requiring hardening the OS, the networking, and securing software deployments via Docker.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop secure software solutions for advanced military applications
Harden the gimbal from a security standpoint
Work on edge computing product, focusing on OS, networking, and Docker security

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related field
Experience in software development using C and C++, particularly in real-time systems
Experience using Docker and container orchestration tools in a secure manner
Experience working with and securing embedded Linux systems running on ARM processors
Demonstrated experience of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies
Familiarity with image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence, controls, and guidance principles
Experience with cybersecurity tools and techniques
Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards and security frameworks

Work Environment:

This is a remote role that requires travel to Hood River, OR 1 week a month. Ideally, this person sits in Oregon, Colorado, or Washington. Remote workforce options are also available in Texas, Montana, Utah, and California. The travel is necessary because the company is hardware-focused and cannot ship the hardware to employees' homes. Many team members fly in Monday and leave Friday, with Tuesday to Thursday being full days in the office.
