Essential Functions:
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluating outcomes, consulting with specialists as needed, and adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient well-being.
  • Monitor patients' hemodynamic status accurately and interpret the results effectively.
  • Demonstrate expertise in cardiac monitoring, identify dysrhythmias, and administer appropriate treatments.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessments of changes in their status.
  • Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identify and address the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families. Act as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care tailored to the specific needs of each patient group.
  • Engage in professional interactions with patients and their families.
  • Develop individualized teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning process. Involve family members in teaching when appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. At least one year of clinical experience is preferred.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education programs aligned with hospital requirements.
  • Participate actively in educational conferences and updates to maintain professional knowledge and skills relevant to your area of responsibility.
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Obtain ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
  • NCI (Non-violent Crisis Intervention) or equivalent preferred
