Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a NICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to our most vulnerable patients, premature and sick newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform life-sustaining care for newborns in need, including assessing neonates at delivery and performing neonatal resuscitation if necessary.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide vital nutrients to newborns.
  • Keep, maintain, and update records of patients' care to ensure that infants are breathing and maturing properly.
  • Work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations.
  • Educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures.
  • Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
Requirements
  • Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (available after hire).
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification (available after hire).
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course (PALS) and Certification (available after hire).
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification – must obtain within 90 days from date of hire and then be maintained.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification preferred. Must obtain NRP certification within 6 months from date of hire and then be maintained.
  • One or more years of recent NICU experience required.
