PACU Travel Nurse RN Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Infojini Healthcare as a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with a flexible scheduling option of 3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the PACU setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable recovery for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient recovery processes.
  • Manage patient flow, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the United States
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a PACU or similar setting
  • Ability to work flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Meditech or similar electronic medical records system
  • Knowledge of ASPAN guidelines and recommendations for PACU care
  • Experience with pediatric patients aged 6 months and older
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively
