Maintenance Planner

Preston Harris Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules that optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Planner will work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals. This includes creating and managing work orders, analyzing maintenance data, and preparing performance reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role:

• Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery. Prioritize work orders based on production schedules and equipment criticality.
• Work Order Management: Create, review, and manage work orders, including labor, materials, and spare parts requirements. Monitor the status of work orders and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks. Prepare and present maintenance performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals. Facilitate communication between maintenance staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components for maintenance activities. Collaborate with procurement to source and order necessary materials and supplies.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the maintenance function. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for maintenance planning and execution.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance planning software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
