Discover is seeking a highly skilled Associate Product Manager to join our team. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for owning the strategy, roadmap, and goals for our Digital Payments Authentication Service Products.
You will partner with client-facing product managers, product owners, and technology partners to evaluate existing and desired capabilities, gather market intel, and recommend strategic initiatives to mitigate market gaps, add value, and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key responsibilities include assessing the performance of and shaping the structure and direction of new and existing product lines, developing or assisting in developing and executing strategic product plans for key initiatives, and actively managing and escalating risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities:- Identify sources, monitor, analyze, and interpret key product performance metrics, including financials, network volumes, other key statistics, and internal/external customer feedback trends, then develop and communicate findings, suggest, and recommend performance improvements to support data-driven business decisions.
- Partner with vendors and/or cross-functional internal teams, such as Sales, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Technology, in the evaluation, development, management, and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.
- Manage and communicate scope, deliverables, timelines of projects and/or plans within pre-set budgets.
- Participate in Agile sprints, planning, and executions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop or support sales efforts or go-to-market strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration and Management, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Delivery/Commercialization, Project Management, Payments Industry, Financial Services, Marketing, or related.
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related, including Product Management Experience.
- Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration and Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, financial services, or related.
- Product Management experience in the financial services/payments industry.
- Experience in authentication and/or fraud.
