Radiation Oncology Professor

The Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a clinical faculty member in the field of Radiation Oncology. This position will involve a 70% clinical commitment to the Radiation Oncology service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH).

• Direct, instruct, and supervise veterinary students and residents in the Radiation Oncology service.
• Provide healthcare and service to in-house and referral patients.
• Advise and consult with referring veterinarians and clients.

• Direct daily supervision and instruction of students and residents in the Radiation Oncology service.
• Participate in lectures and laboratories in the DVM professional curriculum.
• Contribute to clinical teaching in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH).

The successful applicant will be expected to advance the discipline of radiation oncology within the VMTH, as well as locally and nationally, through participation and leadership in providing high-quality patient care.

Faculty are expected to advance the clinical discipline through creation and dissemination of new knowledge with documentation in peer-reviewed publications.

University and public service is expected and may be achieved through committee work, participation in professional organizations, continuing education, and other appropriate means.

The successful applicant must be eligible for veterinary medical licensing in the State of California and obtain a full CA license prior to beginning clinical duties.
