Respiratory Therapist

The respiratory therapist at Jennie Stuart Medical Center plays a vital role in providing quality patient care, from infants to elderly patients. They collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes. The respiratory therapist provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, maintaining a positive working relationship with staff and physicians.

• Assisting in the evaluation and maintenance of quality patient care
• Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families

Required skills and qualifications include:

• Graduate from an approved respiratory therapy school
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Kentucky
• Proven strong clinical skills and strong communication skills

Preferred qualifications include:

• Minimum of two years' experience in the field of pulmonary and/or rehabilitation
• BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider)
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within six months of employment
