Position: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Role Summary:
This role involves practicing medicine under physician supervision, which includes conducting patient examinations and prescribing medications. Advanced practice providers are empowered to make independent medical decisions, providing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with both acute and chronic health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance physician effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, providing relevant information, and recommending actionable solutions.
- Evaluate patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and thorough review of medical histories.
- Identify abnormal conditions by performing or ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results accurately.
- Document patient care activities meticulously in patient and departmental records.
- Administer therapeutic procedures, including injections, immunizations, and wound management.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, growth and development, family planning, and emotional well-being.
- Ensure continuity of care by developing and implementing comprehensive patient management plans.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Stay compliant with legal and professional standards by keeping abreast of relevant legislation and advising management on necessary actions.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have successfully completed an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program. While three years of experience in Family Medicine is preferred, recent graduates are encouraged to apply. A current, unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the relevant states is required, along with current certification from AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
