The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Perioperative Nurse to join our team in Surgical Services at St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the peri-operative setting, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.">
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring continuity of care throughout the surgical process.">
• Direct and guide OR Technicians and other personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.">
• Work collaboratively with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care.">

Requirements

• ">
• Current and valid state RN License.">
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.">
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.">
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.">
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.">
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.">
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.">

$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
