About the Role

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital – Oklahoma City is a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, offering specialized care for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of a supervising Physical Therapist, acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive programs using varied techniques and treatment activities.
  • Assist patients in preparing for treatment and modalities as necessary.
  • Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
  • Communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed Physical Therapist, progressing patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary.
Requirements
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Previous experience in patient care is preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
