The ideal candidate should have significant expertise in estimating for renewable energy initiatives, especially large-scale solar, and will lead a team of estimators while collaborating closely with engineering and supply chain divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and apply best practices to improve estimation services and overall performance.
  • Process Optimization: Propel enhancements through documentation and nurturing a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Performance Evaluation: Establish metrics to assess estimation performance and track progress towards objectives.
  • Team Management: Assign responsibilities, mentor, and offer technical support to the estimating team.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Analyze and evaluate RFPs, engineering documents, and quotes to pinpoint risks and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside engineering and supply chain teams to optimize costs during the bidding process.
  • Reporting: Generate monthly reports on bid outcomes for management assessment.
  • Process Automation: Spearhead initiatives to automate and refine estimating procedures.
  • Cost Estimation for Large Projects: Innovate and enhance cost estimation methodologies for large-scale solar projects, utilizing existing tools and techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating for large-scale solar projects.
    • At least 5 years in a leadership capacity within an estimating team.
    • Strong background in DG and Large-Scale project operations.
  • Preferred:
    • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
    • Experience with strategic planning and policy/legal considerations.
    • Certification or experience in Quality or Process Improvement methodologies.
