We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics to join our faculty at Midwestern University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in periodontics and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care within the scope of periodontics
- Supervise predoctoral dental students in the provision of periodontal treatment
- Ensure patient-centered care and adherence to evidence-based practices
- Contribute to the management of the Periodontic suite and promote a culture of quality patient care and excellent student learning
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assess treatment outcomes
- Develop and deliver didactic periodontal lectures and clinically supervise students in periodontal diagnosis and treatment
- DDS/DMD degree or equivalent
- Certificate of completion in a CODA-accredited post-doctoral training program in periodontics or 5 years of practice with a primary focus on periodontics
- Licensure to practice dentistry in the State of Illinois and DEA license
