We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at SuperCare Health. As a Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in their homes. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patient needs, selecting and troubleshooting respiratory equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Receives and documents orders for respiratory equipment and services from customers, patients, caregivers, physicians, and family members.
- Collects additional information and documentation needed from insurance or physicians.
- Assesses patient needs and selects the best respiratory therapy or services required.
- Provides instruction and education on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment, following written policies and procedures.
- Communicates with patients' physicians on changes in patient condition or needs and adjusts the Plan of Care accordingly.
- Completes patient accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care-treatment/assessments.
- Acts as a liaison between SuperCare Health and patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
- Assumes full responsibility for own actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
- Follows all policies and procedures as outlined by JCAHO.
- Provides 24-hour on-call service, seven days a week, as scheduled.
- Responsible for setting up respiratory equipment within the appointment/ETA given to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Provides services for the marketing department and other departments as necessary.
- Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients.
- Supports SuperCare Health by being loyal and informing the office of concerns and problems to be resolved.
- Understands and adheres to all SuperCare Health company policies.
- Maintains a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
- Remains knowledgeable about all products.
- Graduate from an accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP).
- Experience as a Respiratory Therapist PRN.
- Thorough knowledge and skill related to the respiratory care field.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
