Position Overview:
The Quality Control Inspector III plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our manufactured products. This position involves conducting thorough visual and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, adhering to engineering specifications, customer orders, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute mechanical measurements and visual assessments on incoming items, in-progress products, and finished goods.
- Conduct first-piece inspections on machined components and facilitate product quality analysis.
- Utilize various inspection tools such as thread gauges, GO/NO-GO plug gauges, and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met.
- Compile data and generate reports for quality assurance, recommending sample sizes based on AQL standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and enhance processes.
- Document inspection findings meticulously, summarizing any rework or waste for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Technical school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or electronic part inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in GD&T interpretation and experienced with automatic inspection systems.
- Familiarity with AS9102 FAIR documentation and quality assurance processes.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in both an office and a manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role may involve exposure to various mechanical and operational conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be capable of performing tasks that may include lifting items up to 25 pounds and maintaining visual acuity for detailed inspections.
