Job Description

We seek a highly skilled Pyschiatric-Mental Health Physician to provide mental health services to offenders/clients at the Rio Grande Detention Center in Laredo, Texas. The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in the mental health field, a strong foundation in assessment and treatment planning, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide clinical and consultation services in accordance with policies and procedures of Correct Care Solutions (CCS) and professional standards of care.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  4. Participate in case staffing or care management meetings involving active clinical cases assigned to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Physician.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice psychology in the state of Texas by the appropriate state licensing agency.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including offenders/clients in correctional settings.
