MEP Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects for a leading design-build company specializing in energy-efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in heavy MEP work, with expertise in new construction and retrofit applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage MEP-related construction activities, ensuring project safety, quality, and adherence to timelines.
  • Supervise the installation and retrofitting of heavy mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, ductwork, and industrial HVAC units.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure work aligns with all relevant safety codes, including compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience supervising or performing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work, with expertise in new construction and retrofit applications.
  • Associate-level technical degree in HVAC/Plumbing preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software.
  • OSHA-30 certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician certification (current or previous) is highly valued.
