Key Responsibilities- Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding.
- Assist with clinical duties, such as taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program (preferred) or documentation of training equivalent to training of a Medical Assistant accredited program or Graduate of an approved LPN program and current licensure in the State of North Carolina.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work with individuals and families in a clinical setting to resolve health problems.
- Strong interviewing and counseling techniques.
- Knowledge regarding use and effects of medications and immunizations.
- 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
