This role offers daily opportunities for self-improvement and challenges, with the potential for advancement within our Fleet Department for those with ambition and drive.

As a valued team member, you will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders.

Company Background:
Founded in 1891, MYR Group is a publicly traded holding company that encompasses 13 specialized electrical construction firms. Our teams engage in large-scale electrical construction projects across the U.S. and Canada, contributing to a sustainable energy future while promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive workplace. • Participating in training programs to enhance safety skills and knowledge, and staying current with hazardous material training requirements.
  • Exhibiting regular and predictable attendance.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a vocational/technical school diploma or have completed an apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or five years of experience in general heavy truck, automotive, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school time may be considered.

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment daily, with appropriate licensing.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic, possess effective teamwork skills, and have the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues. Basic computer skills and experience with mechanical tools, materials, and testing equipment are essential. A working knowledge of the design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment is required, along with the ability to adhere to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves physical activities such as reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling to perform repairs and inspections. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly. Work environments may vary, including indoor climate-controlled areas with moderate to loud noise levels, as well as outdoor settings that may present inclement weather or hazardous conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range is $58,240 - $70,720 per year, commensurate with experience, with weekly pay. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust salary ranges based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. A remote work option may be available for non-field roles based on position and performance.

We offer comprehensive medical benefits, including low deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, with a minimal weekly premium for employee or family coverage. Dental premiums are fully covered by the employer.
