Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products throughout our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Perform advanced level material handling for material processing, including sorting, deboxing, shredding, and receiving.
  • Pre-Start Inspections: Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection reports.
  • Load Management: Load and unload trailers, rail cars, and containers, and complete load sheets to accurately record grades, bale count, and loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments.
  • Inventory Management: Participate in weekly and monthly inventory and reporting, and schedule loads on 3rd party trucking.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complete PMs for all certified mobile equipment regularly, and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Communication: Communicate with dispatch when trailers are completely loaded and/or unloaded, and communicate with floor lead on maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, and other concerns.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or material handling preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work any shift as needed, ability to work overtime as needed, ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extensive periods of time and stay physically active all day.
